When the earth quakes on 02/03/2008 in Rwanda's Sunday. People are in church. Panic breaks out - people are injured and some killed. How can God allow this? The priest, thinking: this was a great happiness. Fortunately, because schools, as in Shangi, which were attended by 1006 pupils, have collapsed within seconds.
But now there is hardly more schools. Due to the poor conditions the children often can not escape to another school, so that no training will be ensured. In the long term this would lead to serious economic damage. The teachers are unemployed by the closing of schools and without income.
So was launched on behalf of the Diocese of Cyangugu a reconstruction program for the destroyed schools, especially in Shangi and Nkombo. But the Kosen are high - a school building with four classrooms will cost € 30000-45000. We are glad that has been approved by our shared commitment and private donations, the funding from the Province of Styria to build a school building. The construction work began in April 2009.
PHOTOS CONSEQUENCES
A great need also exists for many young children, who are often marked by sickness and hunger, and sometimes have al orphans no proper home.
Thanks again Margaret was in Yove, one of the poorest regions of the diocese, a kindergarten to be built. Thanks to her great heart, there is now a meeting place. Due to the vital care and loving care of the children was a happier road paved in the future.
