The Holy Bakhita.

First was the inauguration of the new church in a branch of Rwimbogo Mushaka area in the parish, Father Ubaldo. It was the Holy Bakhita, a black saint from Sudan dedicated to the award because of her saintly life, their unspeakable suffering that their have been added as a slave and for their willingness, their tormentors from the heart of Pope John Paul canonized II was is.

Holy Father Ubald learned this during a visit to know Schio in Italy. In the monastery of Canossianerinnen are the bones and relics of saints. Everywhere she is revered as a saint of reconciliation. She has forgiven all their tormentors, because it passes through its multiple sales in this monastery, and became a believer because here they got to know Jesus, the suffering and crucified him, even his murderers still down from the cross forgave. Among other things, they asserted again and again:

"When I met my captors and tormentors, I would kiss their feet. Just because I've been kidnapped, I have come to know and love Jesus. "

Father Ubaldo was so deeply affected by the suffering of this young girl of his conversion and his ever-ready to forgive the heart so that it immediately therefore asked her to help him to build one in his parish church, the Holy Bakhita is to be consecrated. "I have these saints have in Rwanda, so that people can reconcile after the example of Bakhita there again."

Again it was a friend of mine, Mrs. Mary Kroisleitner, she lives in the Rein, which financed the construction of not only, but is also equipped with a statue of the Madonna from Schio, and with a large and a small monstrance for Eucharistic adoration.

Unfortunately, these sacred objects were missing at the dedication of the church, because our container where they were, did not arrive in time Nyamasheke. But they were later taken with great joy by the inhabitants in the new parish church, so now kept the Blessed Sacrament exposed for adoration and there may be.

And to the lovely statue of the Virgin Mary with the Infant Jesus is now rallying their believing children. Fortunately, it probably was the Holy Spirit is at work, my friend Brigitte Szyszkowitz, an artist, a great self-image was painted on a journey, on which the saint is depicted Bakhita midst of black African children. Thus could the faithful gathered for the consecration make an image of this saint. The joy of it is especially great because it not only a saint, but one of them is a black woman, an African woman.
